["I already told you, no." Kizaru stood up, brushed the dust off his trousers, and put his sunglasses back on, sounding a little impatient. "I need a smoke. I'm going over there to have one and get some peace and quiet."]

["You go do whatever you need to do, but don't touch all those assorted keys in my drawer, hear me? Those are important public property."]

[With that, he stopped looking at Boruto, lit the cigar he had just received, and ambled toward a secluded patch of shade near the gate, bobbing his head as he went with his distinctive, unhurried gait. He really did go off to smoke.]

[Boruto stood rooted to the spot, holding the cigar box that had been thrust back at him. He stared at Kizaru's retreating back in bewilderment. "Huh? What does my great-uncle mean by that? He won't even take the cigars, and nothing he said makes any sense."]

[Just then, Class Representative Sumire Kakei, who had been standing quietly beside him, stepped forward. "Boruto, I think your great-uncle is giving us his tacit permission."]

["He means the keys are right there. He won't see us take them, but he won't hand them to us himself, either. Whether we can get in depends on our own 'skill' and 'speed.'"]

["If we move quickly and get in and out before he finishes smoking and comes back, he can pretend he knows nothing."]
