"Who's he?" Bai Xuan asked, turning to Liu Qian in confusion.

"Three of Diamonds. A criminal wanted by the Global Investigation Bureau. Anomaly Threat Level D." After explaining, Liu Qian smiled at Bai Xuan. "Mr. Slime, could you protect me? I don't want them dragging me off to be a test subject. Pretty please?"

"..."

Bai Xuan was silent for a moment. "No."

"Why not?" Liu Qian blinked at him, puzzled.

"You and I... don't know each other that well."

But the real reason Bai Xuan refused was that he couldn't beat the man.

Before the man could finish, White Bandages appeared and wrapped him tightly from head to toe, turning him into a mummy.

Liu Qian then snapped her fingers, and the man vanished as though he had been teleported elsewhere.

"Mm. Finally caught someone useful."

Liu Qian rose onto her toes and stretched, her voice languid.

Bai Xuan frowned as he watched her.

"More or less." Liu Qian smiled faintly. "What about you? Ever thought about joining the Investigation Bureau?"

Bai Xuan said nothing. The eyes on his Slime Mask narrowed to thin slits.

"I guess that was a pointless question." Liu Qian glanced at him, her tone calm. "Your people are here for you. You should go."

Bai Xuan turned and saw Xilin standing in the doorway.

At the same time, a jumble of footsteps drew closer.

Bai Xuan activated the Teleportation Array.
