Chu Men transformed the Genesis Primordial Codex and its holy sphere into a trash can and lamp, then imprinted both the holy sphere and Lucifer into his service. Their simultaneous submission caused a violent disturbance across the Multiverse, and Victor detected an unknown cosmic gaze turning toward Earth.
Chu Men returned to Earth with a procession of captured gods and demons, and the broadcast shattered the remaining resistance and religious faith. Bruce Wayne abandoned his ineffective weapons, then received a message from Chu Men demanding payment for the spectacle.
Trigon attacked Earth after sensing that Lucifer had left Hell, but Chu Men sent Lucifer to stop him. Lucifer tore out two of Trigon’s eyes and compressed them into marbles before Trigon’s projection retreated in terror.
Chu Men tore open a path through thirty-six dimensional barriers to pursue Trigon to his lair in the Azarath Dimension. He manifested a galaxy-sized golden foot and stomped through Trigon’s defenses, shaking the entire dimension.
Chu Men crushed Trigon’s temple, swallowed and returned his destructive fire, and transformed the wounded demon into a flower-covered garden. The chapter ended with Chu Men snapping off Trigon’s primordial horns to use as signposts.
Chu Men subdued Trigon and brought his companions to the Still Dimension, where the Lords of Order and Chaos prepared to erase him. He shattered the Eternal Balance, struck God Nabu with its base, and kicked Xia Nuo into the interdimensional turbulence.
Chu Men pulled Nabu’s true spirit and the Helmet of Fate out of the source of time, crushed Nabu’s consciousness, and gave the helmet to Diana. As the group returned, Bruce Wayne used Jim Corrigan’s police badge and his own blood to summon Phantom for a final attack.
Phantom descended on the One God Temple to erase Chu Men, but discovered that the Supreme Holy Spirit served as Chu Men’s lamp and Heaven and Hell now worked for him. Unable to reconcile his directives, Phantom’s logic collapsed and he vanished, leaving Bruce to die in despair.
Chu Men fell asleep and Sandman Morpheus trapped his consciousness in the Dreaming, hoping to eliminate the threat he posed. Chu Men shattered the dream labyrinth and struck Morpheus through the boundary between dreams and reality, leaving Morpheus beaten and begging for mercy.
Chu Men seized control of the Dreaming by branding Morpheus and made him turn it into an endless office for punishing gods and demons who opposed the One God Temple. Morpheus activated the dream system, trapping Dagon and thousands of other sleeping gods and demons in forced reporting meetings.
Chu Men learned that a sealed region beyond the Source Wall, the Sea of Nothingness, contained primordial beings capable of erasing matter, souls, and history. Despite Lucifer and Michael warning him of its danger, he decided to capture its inhabitants and bring them back as guards.
