• The Do As You Please System awakened Chu Men’s Peak Homelander template, and he escaped Arkham after killing Joker and the inmates who attacked him.
• Chu Men seized Penguin’s operations at the Iceberg Lounge, defeated Gotham’s police and Batman, and forced the East End crews to submit.
• After Deathstroke attacked Chu Men, Superman confronted him, but Chu Men killed the mercenary and defeated Clark in their ensuing fight.
• Chu Men unlocked a Silver Age Superman Physique Fragment during the battle and used Clark’s concern for civilians to overpower him.
• Bruce Wayne rescued Clark while Chu Men chose to enslave him, then Chu Men killed Penguin, Black Mask, and Two-Face and imposed his rule on Gotham’s gangs.
• Lex Luthor studied Chu Men’s powers and planned to meet him, while Diana took Magic-Breaker and left Themyscira for Gotham.

Chu Men crushed LexCorp’s attempt to challenge him, expanded his hold over Gotham, and turned Harley Quinn into his servant as heroes assembled against him. At the same time, the Mother Box awakened and revealed Apokolips’s invasion plans, leaving the new alliance divided over which threat to face first.

• Lex Luthor offered Chu Men LexCorp’s resources, but Chu Men crushed his shield, slaughtered his private army, and used a Spiritual Imprint to make him a devoted servant.
• The massacre inspired worshippers across the world, while Waller abandoned Task Force X and Harley Quinn’s attempt to kill Chu Men ended with her bound to him by a Spiritual Imprint.
• Bruce recruited Barry Allen and Arthur Curry, while Diana returned to Themyscira and found the Mother Box opening a rift for Steppenwolf.
• Silas Stone used the Mother Box to rebuild Victor, who identified the Apokolips invasion and was nearly overwhelmed when he tried to analyze Chu Men through a camera.
• Hal Jordan, Diana, Victor, Bruce, Arthur, and Barry gathered in the Batcave, where they argued over whether to confront Chu Men before the invasion passage formed.
• Chu Men listened to the heroes’ debate, then had Lark bring Selina Kyle before him and rejected her offer to work as a thief, demanding only obedience.

Chu Men defeated Steppenwolf and the Justice League, then established his rule over Gotham and forced governments around the world to dismantle their superhuman defenses. The League survived in hiding while Chu Men’s control spread and vigilantes were killed.

• Selina escaped her handcuffs and attacked Chu Men, but he subdued her with a Spiritual Imprint and ordered Harley to teach her obedience.
• Steppenwolf invaded Atlantis and Themyscira, took their Mother Boxes, and pursued the final one as Bruce led the team to S.T.A.R. Labs.
• Bruce delivered the Human Mother Box to the Iceberg Lounge, drawing Steppenwolf and the Parademons into a battle with Chu Men and Lex Luthor’s forces.

• Hoy led six powered allies into the One God Temple, but Chu Men and his followers subdued the attackers and Luthor broadcast the defeat to the world.
• Bruce’s team entered ruined Atlantis to retrieve its Life-Reconstruction Engine, then escaped the Trench with the engine and used it to rebuild Barry’s damaged body.
• Chu Men crushed Clark’s attempt to protect Carado’s refugees, leaving Clark badly wounded and the Justice League shaken by the massacre.
• Doctor Fate explained how the heroes could sever Chu Men’s connection to their universe, and Bruce planned a midnight assault using coordinated attacks to distract Luthor’s forces.
