The Pacific Ocean stretched endlessly beneath a blue sky.
A sleek, extravagantly luxurious white yacht floated on the glittering water like a palace at sea.
On the deck, Harley Quinn lounged beneath a parasol in a bikini, sipping chilled fruit juice as she watched the man "playing in the water" nearby.
Link hovered half a meter above the sea, bare-chested.
Sunlight poured over him. His perfect body, seemingly sculpted by a god, greedily absorbed every ray of light and warmth, turning it into unfathomable biological energy.
It felt strange. Wonderful.
Link could clearly "see" the sunlight pass through his skin and enter every cell. That warm, powerful fullness was more intoxicating than the finest drug in the world.
He raised a hand and studied his ordinary-looking palm.
He gently curled his fingers.
Crack.
A sharp pop sounded in the air, as though he had crushed a small piece of space itself.
It was no illusion.
He could feel what he held: pure power. Absolute power that transcended the laws of physics and could warp reality.
"Puddin', how long are you going to stand there spacing out?" Harley called, bored out of her mind. "There aren't even any sharks around. I'm dying of boredom!"
At her voice, Link turned toward the yacht.
A mischievous smile tugged at his lips.
A thought rose unbidden in his mind.
Signing in as Superman had given him more than an invulnerable Man of Steel's body. It seemed to have come with two interesting extras.
Heat Vision.
Super Breath.
Link fixed his gaze on the titanium-alloy flagpole at the yacht's bow.
He focused, imagining the energy in his body gathering in his eyes and then... firing.
The next instant, two nearly invisible red beams, finer than strands of hair, flashed from his eyes.
Not a sound.
