A "Gift" from the New God!

The black Invisibility Spaceship hovered silently off the coast of Themyscira, like a beast lurking in the shadows.

The hatch was open. Harley Quinn, dressed in a tight black combat suit, leaned lazily against the boarding ramp's handrail. She chewed gum and whistled at Link.

Supported by several Amazon warriors, Queen Hippolyta reached the shore, her face pale. Her crown sat crooked, and dust covered her splendid robes. None of her former regal poise remained.

Diana was beside her, also leaning on others for support.

The demigod princess was in even worse shape. Her armor lay in ruins, and blood still stained the corner of her mouth. The eyes that had once shone like stars now held only deep-seated hatred and undying rage.

"Link!"

Diana shook off her companions and stumbled forward, glaring at the figure in black.

"You stole Hera's Blessing and destroyed our faith... You demon! You thief!"

She screamed with all her strength, each word seeming to tear its way out of her throat.

Queen Hippolyta's eyes were full of grief and regret. She looked at the man she had personally allowed onto the island. In a matter of hours, he had trampled the pride and foundations the Amazons had built over thousands of years.

"You've gotten what you wanted," the queen said, her voice hoarse with exhaustion. "Why can't you leave? Must you destroy us completely?"
