Above the ruins of Times Square, New York.
The confrontation had reached its end.
Wonder Woman, Diana, said nothing more. She poured every last ounce of the god power in her blood, inherited from the Old God Zeus, into the [Law Ripper] in her hands. The spear hummed with a sound that made souls tremble. At its tip, a tiny dark singularity flickered into view, seemingly capable of swallowing all light.
She knew this strike would decide the future of mortals and gods.
Meanwhile, Link's situation could not have been worse. He had to devote at least half his attention to the [Eradicators] surging toward him. These conceptual enemies could not be killed, only temporarily driven back. Yet the weapon in Diana's hands felt even more threatening than Darkseid in the distance.
His power over laws warned him that it was "nothingness," "the end"—something that transcended the "existence" represented by the Six Infinity Stones.
Taking it head-on meant certain death.
Dodging meant that New York behind him, perhaps even the entire Earth, would be erased by the Eradicators the instant his attention slipped.
It was a death trap with no way out.
"For freedom!"
Diana cried out, the muscles in her arm bulging. The Godslayer Spear, imbued with all her divinity, will, and hope, became a bolt of black lightning that tore through space toward Link's heart!
Time seemed to slow at that moment.
Link could even make out his own stunned face reflected in the darkness at the spear's tip. He was already prepared to exile himself with the Space Stone, sacrificing himself to give Earth a chance to survive.
But a wild figure he never could have imagined barged into this deadly game.
"Don't you touch my Lil' Puddin'!"
A shrill, familiar cry rang across the sky.
