Beating Ten Maeves
Maeve felt her mind go blank again; she looked down at the Original Compound V in her hand, then back up at Lin Mo.
"There's a risk?"
"Then why did you dare to inject Joanna directly just now?"
Joanna stood nearby, and upon hearing this, she also looked at Lin Mo. Lin Mo did not beat around the bush.
"Back in Thomas's basement, did you guys forget? Thomas mentioned it then."
"The fatality rate of Original Compound V is very high. Ordinary people who inject it have a high probability of dying outright."
The expression on Maeve's face grew even stiffer as she remembered. Such an important matter,
why hadn't he mentioned it earlier?
A moment ago she had thought she scored a huge bargain, but now, it didn't look like an enhancement serum at all; it clearly looked like a bomb that could detonate at any moment.
Lin Mo saw through her thoughts and continued to explain.
"However, that applies to ordinary people."
"Joanna is already strong enough, so Original Compound V definitely won't pose much risk to her."
"As for you..."
He paused, reached out to stroke his chin, and looked Maeve up and down.
Maeve felt a little unsettled under his gaze.
"What about me?"
"You probably have a bit of risk." After a moment, Lin Mo concluded with a serious face.
Maeve: "..."
How did that sound anything like comforting someone?
Seeing that her expression was off, Lin Mo scratched his head a little awkwardly and patted her shoulder.
"Don't worry."
"You're actually not weak either."
Maeve's mouth twitched.
What kind of comfort was that?
"Your physical durability is already considered among the strongest of current superheroes."
"Injecting Original Compound V shouldn't cause any major issues."
Lin Mo began to vouch for her.
