With her palm facing the sky, she curled her fingers slightly. The five chakra natures blended together, then dispersed, returning to stillness.
The abilities the Rinnegan granted me really are complete.
She repeated the thought silently.

That power was hidden further within, like a churning undertow sunk into the deepest layer of her chakra pathways.
She tried to draw on it. Chakra surged from her lower abdomen, carrying a quality somewhere between light and shadow. She could feel its presence.
Used properly, it could create things.

Her purple, ripple-patterned eyes glimmered faintly in the dim curtain of rain, like two bottomless wells.
She extended her hand, and a slender black rod formed at her fingertips.
The rod was about a foot long, pitch-black throughout, its edges showing no signs of being worked. It slowly grew out of her palm.
It extended and solidified like bone.
