The enormous dark-green vine thrashed in the snowstorm like a giant squid, filling the other half of the sky as it faced off against Gamabunta. Lu Zeming landed on Ghost Lantern Vine and raised his sword, ready to fight.

Crouched on the mountaintop, Gamabunta took the pipe from his mouth and narrowed his eyes at the behemoth. "Hey, Jiraiya, that thing looks every bit as big as a toad."

The north wind stirred Jiraiya's long white hair. He stared at Lu Zeming and said grimly, "Kid, the Shinobi World was never a place where reason mattered."

Jiraiya's hands flew through a series of seals.
