Six Puppets (Revised)

Kakashi, Obito, and Rin's expressions changed drastically, and tumultuous waves surged through their hearts.

A puppeteer's strength was often related to the number of puppets they could control.

A Chunin-level puppeteer could control three puppets simultaneously at most. Even a Jonin-level puppeteer could only control four puppets in battle. Any more than that, and they would be unable to divide their attention.

This was common knowledge in the Shinobi World.

Yet Sasori of the Red Sands before them completely disregarded common sense. He could actually control six puppets simultaneously, each with an entirely different form and function!

Surely those six puppets weren't just there for show?!

"Six puppets... This guy!"

Kakashi's gaze grew exceptionally grave. Doubts churned in his heart as he stared fixedly at the puppet army before him and spoke in a deep voice.

"Since you possess such formidable strength, why didn't you use your full power from the beginning?"

Earlier, Sasori had controlled Sand Skeleton in battle against him. It had seemed imposing, but compared with the pressure exuded by the six puppets before him, it was like comparing a minor shaman to a great wizard.

At this, Sasori looked at the three of them with a mocking gaze and gently stroked Father and Mother before him with both hands.

"Sand Skeleton is my latest work. Its materials and construction are completely different from those of my previous puppets. Since it was completed, I haven't used it in actual combat."

His tone was flat, as if he were merely stating an insignificant fact.

"This time, I'll take the opportunity to test its limits through you and correct the flaws in this puppet."

At this point, Sasori paused. His gaze then locked onto Kakashi. The mockery in his eyes had faded, leaving behind only the purest killing intent.
