"You haven't come to see me for a hundred and fifty-three days."

When Snape ignored the "Out of Order" sign and pushed open the door to the girls' lavatory on the second floor, Moaning Myrtle suddenly drifted out from behind a faucet.

A layer of mist covered her pearly spectacles as she blocked the doorway and said resentfully, "You said you would come see me... I've been waiting here all this time..."

"That place is quite hidden. Trust me," Snape said gently. "Would you like to come take a look? If it doesn't suit you, you can always come back."

Myrtle hesitated for a moment, then nodded lightly. "All right. I'm willing to have a look."

Snape told Myrtle their destination, but to his surprise, she passed straight through the lavatory ceiling.

"I'll wait for you upstairs, Sevy."

Snape jogged through the twisting corridors, heading for the painting on the Eighth Floor of a Troll
