Following the voices, she looked over and saw Kaguya and Yuzuru dressed in Maid Outfits.
"Huh? What are you two doing here?"
Lingmeng tilted her head in confusion. Then, as though something had occurred to her, cold sweat trickled down her forehead.
"No way... Don't tell me the substitutes Kotori mentioned were...?"
Before Lingmeng could finish, Kaguya and Yuzuru both folded their arms.
"Heh heh... Kotori has told me everything. It seems thou art troubled by a shortage of members."
"Support. If you will allow it, please entrust this battle to us."
"So it really was you two..."
The corner of Lingmeng's mouth twitched. She could barely imagine what sort of dark heavy metal music these two would play.
"Wait—I'm grateful for the offer, but you can't just join this competition on a whim. There's hardly any time left before the performance, and neither of you has practiced—"
Shiori was a little worried about having these two serve as the band's substitutes.
But Kaguya and Yuzuru merely exchanged a glance, then strolled over to the instruments in the room.
Then Kaguya sat down at the drum kit, while Yuzuru picked up the bass.
A moment later, without exchanging any signals, they began to play.
"Huh..."
"Eh..."
"Ooh!"
Lingmeng, Shiori, and Tohka all cried out involuntarily when they heard the music.
There was only one reason: both of them played exceptionally well.
The drums combined passion and power without sacrificing harmony, carving out a rhythm that seemed to lead the entire piece.
Meanwhile, the bass produced a fluid melody through flowing fingerwork.
Even an untrained ear could easily tell how impressive their performance was. They had reached a level where any talent scout present would probably have handed them a business card on the spot.
Apparently, Lingmeng had underestimated these sisters.
