She undid the knot on her Assault Rifle, poured magic into the weapon, and hurled it at Ellen with all her strength.
Of course, Ellen's territory stopped it before it could touch her body.
But just then, something resembling gas sprayed out from beneath the Assault Rifle.
"What—what is this...!?"
Ellen frowned and covered her mouth with her hand.
Apparently, Origami had fitted a grenade to the rifle beforehand, setting it up so that releasing her territory would also pull the pin.
That said, the gas itself wasn't particularly toxic.
It was merely a foul-smelling gas used for riot suppression. At worst, it would cause intense itching in the eyes and nose, right?
Naturally, Ellen didn't know that.
With poisonous gas filling her surroundings, there were only two ways to deal with it—
Either neutralize its components with her territory, or redeploy her territory around herself to keep the gas out, right?
"Now!"
Origami seized the opportunity, pulled a flashbang from her waist, and threw it at Ellen. A blinding flash and deafening bang erupted around them.
Then she issued a command in her mind.
She aimed every Micro Missile Pod on her back at Ellen and fired all her ammunition at once.
The territory was maintained by the basic Realizer installed in the Connection Suit.
And what controlled it was none other than the human brain.
Right now, Ellen's brain was simultaneously handling multiple tasks: defending the building, neutralizing the gas, blocking the flash and noise, and more.
On top of that, she was being bombarded by a barrage of missiles.
An ordinary Wizard's brain would certainly overheat, causing them to neglect one of those tasks or momentarily release their territory.
Chapter 31: Origami joins the battle (part two)
Surely even Ellen couldn't keep up with so many things
