All Lingmeng had to do was wait for Shido to recover naturally and take care of the two bastards in front of her in the meantime.
To think they had attacked Shido, a human, just to drive the Spirits into despair. They had gone too far!
Chapter 37: Inverse (Part one)
"You two... have really pissed me off..."
Lingmeng spoke through gritted teeth, clenching her hands hard enough to nearly draw blood as she glared fiercely at the two before her.
Isaac, however, showed no fear. Instead, he sighed in disappointment.
"So it didn't work? Is Shido Itsuka simply not that important to you, or does your personality fail to meet the conditions for Inverse in the first place?"
"What the hell are you talking about!?"
No longer in any mood to decipher his words, Lingmeng screamed as though she meant to tear her throat apart.
At the same time, a powerful torrent of Spirit Power erupted from her.
The force made the entire DEM Building shake, filling it with cracking sounds.
Debris rained down from the ceiling.
Some of her Spirit Power even surged toward Isaac without her consciously directing it.
Before it could hit him, however, Ellen moved first and blocked it with her territory.
But the territory she had deployed instantly filled with cracks and shattered.
"What terrifying power..."
