The endless blind dates lately have been driving me crazy, and afterward, the calls keep coming, one after another, asking, "How did it go?" and "Did anything come of it?" It's really been disrupting my train of thought.
What was supposed to come next was a short arc about the eldest senior brother running away from an arranged marriage, but when I went back over this section, I noticed a post in the review section saying that my recent plot had become too scattered and aimless, with all my writing focused on women. The reader offered quite a few suggestions, and I felt he'd clearly put a lot of thought into them and hoped I could pull myself out of this rut.
After thinking it over carefully, I realized he was right. The main plot hadn't made much progress lately. One major storyline I had planned next was a journey to Myth Drannor to seek out the remnants of the battle between Moander, the God of Rot, and Vander Dragonspear, in an attempt to activate Nurgle's Power. There, the protagonist would face the greatest difficulties and challenges he had ever encountered. Taking all of the above into account, I decided to cut the handful of minor arcs I'd previously planned that didn't add much and serve up the main plot for everyone first.
That would be the Slaanesh Grand Theater's first performance to shake the entire Realms.
Then came the first exploration of Myth Drannor.
So please give me a day to rework the plot structure.
