Aaron jolted awake from his dream. He threw back the covers and found himself drenched in sweat.

Drip... drip... drip...

Dark red droplets fell onto Aaron's chest. Blood streamed from his nostrils, leaving little plum-blossom stains on his clothes.

"Be'lakor..." Aaron wiped the blood from his nose and cast a cleansing spell on himself with Heavens Magic. After that, sleep was out of the question.

Aaron did not know how Be'lakor had crossed the Crystal Sphere and reached the Realms from the infinitely distant edge of the universe. What he knew now was that he was in trouble. Serious trouble.

Be'lakor might often be mocked as "the Ever-un-chosen," "the servant of thirteen masters," "the defeatist strategist," and "the Chaos Gods' plaything," but that was from the perspective of Primarchs, C'tan, the legendary heroes of various races, and Chapter Masters.

To Aaron, Be'lakor was currently an enemy he could not fight. As the Original Daemon Prince, Be'lakor was at least a relatively weak quasi-deity, while Aaron was not even legendary yet.
