Aaron nodded. He felt uncomfortable too. "If this is an artifact, even those thirty chests of treasure can't compare to its value."

Bane Godspawn raised an eyebrow. "Without me, you would never have known where the Fey'ri treasury was."

"Without us, you could never have fooled the Fey'ri, let alone escaped the Shadow Lord." Aaron raised his head, signaling to Buer not to worry.

"What nonsense are you talking about? If not for me, that Demon lord would have captured you back then!" Xvim's temper flared as well. Bane Godspawn said coldly, "I saved you!"

"You saved me, and I saved you. You helped me, and I helped you." The corners of Aaron's mouth rose. "Half and half, then. I'm not unreasonable, but giving you the entire artifact isn't fair. Besides, how do I know I can't use it if I haven't tried?"
