PS: This update makes up for one I missed while on leave.
Mortal blood was spilling, while a true god's victory was already assured.
"!!!" Like the lingering shadow of an ancient war god, Drizzt clashed fiercely with the flame-wreathed Bloodthirster before him.
A jet of searing lava erupted from the melee, scalding the high-ranking demons that had ventured too close.
Other Tzeentch Daemons were crushed beneath the Bloodthirster's feet or casually sliced apart by his axe and whip.
Khorne never asked where the blood and skulls came from.
Where there were skulls, there were rewards!
The Greater Daemon's battleaxe hammered against Drizzt's defending scimitar, Twinkle, like a hammer striking an anvil. Their conflicting enchantments threw off blood-red and golden sparks. Sometimes, the collision of their weapons even unleashed waves of magic that hurled nearby demons away and shattered the surrounding rocks.
The divine power bestowed by the forest goddess Mielikki, along with blessings from several other unknown deities, made their battle fiercer than ever.
Evenly matched. Khorx had never imagined those words could describe his duel with a mortal. Even under his frenzied assault, the Drow Ranger refused to yield. Facing the brass battleaxe and long whip head-on, Drizzt was even more terrifying, even more arrogant, than Khorx's endless hunger!
Elsewhere, Nastya was also struggling to fight. The Bladesinger's soul fire scorched the face of a Slaanesh Daemonette, a monster with two sharp, crab-claw-like arms. Even with its face burned, its wild flailing still posed a threat to Nastya.
Dodge, retreat, occasionally sidestep. It was a dance. Nastya was good at dancing. The surface races all liked dancing, so naturally, Nastya was good at it. Though Drow society considered dance worthless unless it was offered to Lolth, Nastya still danced gracefully before the tide of Chaos.
Dodging the Slaanesh
