Aaron and his companions arrived in Samora, the forty-seventh layer of the Abyss, within Graz'zt's domain. It was the deepest of the three layers he ruled. Judging by appearances alone, Samora was almost indistinguishable from Baldur's Gate in the outside world. Aaron even spotted plenty of humans and elves here.

What was bewildering was how utterly naturally the demons went about their business in the Abyss. They loaded and unloaded cargo on the docks of the River Styx as if it were the most ordinary thing in the world. Nearby, a bull demon cracked a whip and bellowed at the workers to hurry up. Panting dretches had no choice but to quicken their pace. Kobolds and gnolls were treated worst of all. Two dockworkers who had collapsed from exhaustion lay piled nearby, dangling from ropes.

This... really didn't seem all that different from Baldur's Gate.

Caravans from planes throughout the Multiverse came and went through the Abyss, hawking their wares, while Six-Fingers' dock patrols kept a close watch on every passenger ship that berthed there.
