Through this bizarre, absurd method, the archdevil had pulled off three successive leaps, retaining all his power as a legendary archdevil while becoming the first runaway devil in Baator's history.
Then again, a devil gathering a band of oddballs and venturing into the Abyss to rescue a true god from a demon lord was already bizarre enough.
"Where's your wife, Cynthia?" Aaron asked Morgan, wineglass in hand.
After becoming an Otherworldly Divine Servant, Morgan had shed most of his devilish physical traits. However, he had deliberately retained one feature: his bald head.
Morgan's daemonette wife, Cynthia, had appeared only once throughout the entire affair, when Aaron and Waukeen worked together to transform her. Surprisingly, Aaron found it difficult to associate her with devils. Cynthia was not a peerless beauty, nor did she possess the utterly vicious, sinister air of a devil. Instead, she resembled a typical noblewoman, speaking softly and gently, her movements restrained.
