"I don't need you to tell me!" Robert was still shaken himself, but he refused to back down. "I'm Aaron's cousin! How could I possibly be afraid of dying?"
Robert was still too weak. Ordinarily, he could bluff his way through with the Word of Truth Aaron had taught him, or sit on his mount like a statue. But when it actually came to charging into battle, a single counterattack from the Zhentarim's elite knights had severed both his arms and nearly taken his head off.
"Haha! Looks like Cousin Robert, one of the so-called Salian Twin Shields, isn't all that impressive after all!"
The impish Imoen showed no awareness whatsoever that she was on a battlefield. Faced with a battle involving two hundred thousand people, the girl felt no fear at all. Instead, she was positively thrilled.

That was what Robert thought. His body, freshly treated with the Seventh Circle spell Regenerate, itched as new arms began to grow. He looked at Imoen, who had saved his life, and considered for a moment. "Imoen, Abdel, Sarevok!"
"Don't worry about me. Go help Aaron. I know you're all strong," Robert said through his struggles.
