Arc 21The Shogun’s Northern Campaign

Aaron helped restore Waukeen, forged new alliances, and returned to Cormyr to win the title of Shogun and prepare a northern expedition. The arc ends with his army marching into the Anauroch Great Desert under Operation Gaia.

  • Waukeen reclaimed her divine power, while Aaron helped her create Grudge, a new Succubus Nun who became ruler of the Abyss’s forty-fifth layer.
  • Waukeen freed Morgan from Mammon’s control, and Aaron made a deal with Raphael while Selûne and Waukeen fought over a Golden Apple.

Arc 22The Great Battle of Teshwave

Aaron gathered allies to fight the Zhentarim and their coalition, then led the Western Army into the Great Battle of Teshwave. The Western Army took Teshwave despite the Phaerimm’s arrival, while a new threat, the Dark Sun Prince, prepared to challenge Aaron.

  • Maximian’s army crossed the Anauroch Great Desert, and Aaron’s forces defeated the Bedine civil-war factions before Harald submitted and became king.
  • Aaron secured Eilistraee’s alliance against Lolth and gathered a vast coalition at Dagger Falls, while Khelben brought Fuzor’s peace proposal and the eastern forces assembled at Zhentil Keep.
  • Manshoon marched the Eastern Army against Aaron, and Fiolena’s knights and Harald’s Bedine riders fought its vanguard before Aaron chose to strike the main force near Teshwave.
  • Aaron launched the Great Battle of Teshwave, where the Western Army’s center advanced against the Zhentarim as orks battered Eleanor’s left flank and the Shade Enclave arrived over the Dragonspine Mountains.

Aaron helped defeat Cyric, claimed the portfolios of Murder and Strife, and became a god while Kelemvor took control of the Underworld. He returned to the mortal world, was proclaimed king, built a divine realm, and ended by asking Alusair to marry him as his forces surrounded Suzail.

  • Kozef escaped into the battle against Aaron, but Aaron and the allied mages drove him back before Perturabo attacked and was sealed in an astral crystal.
  • Aaron’s deception sent Lorgar, Kor Phaeron, and Erebus to Sigil, where the Lady of Pain killed them, while the Emperor appeared and said Guilliman needed help.
  • The gods attacked Cyric’s hidden divine realm, and Xvim’s ascension briefly returned Bane to power before Reynard’s sacrifice helped Aaron claim Strife and become a quasi-deity.
