"You arrogant fool!"

Uchiha Hikari leaped into the air, light streaming from the depths of her eyes.

Kazan's instincts were razor-sharp. He quickly sensed something was wrong.

His Observation Haki detected the energy of the earth's veins gathering here, including the Ryumyaku's energy within the Forest of Death.

That was bad news. Her mark might already have been planted in the Ryumyaku at Rōran, allowing her to absorb its Chakra.

"But Konoha is so far from Rōran..."

Before Kazan could finish, he heard the Ryumyaku's voice in his ear.

It warned him that its Chakra was flowing toward Uchiha Hikari beyond its control, and told him to be careful.

"You're a goddamn centuries-old little girl!"

"A centuries-old little girl..."

Embarrassment and anger flashed across Uchiha Hikari's face. Her small chest rose and fell sharply.

She took a deep breath and calmed herself.

She knew Kazan was trying to provoke her. Someone with a will like his would never have said that otherwise.

Without pausing, she raised one hand in a Sword Finger sign before her nose.

"Yachihoko!"

Kazan felt it even more clearly now. An endless torrent of Chakra was rising from underground and pouring into Uchiha Hikari—all of it the Ryumyaku's energy.

"What enormous Chakra!" Jiraiya and the others felt it too. The energy was vast as an ocean.

Far away in Rōran, Sara abruptly sensed something wrong.

She wasn't alone. Everyone in Rōran saw the Ryumyaku's energy erupt from the city's center in a pillar of light that shot into the sky.

"That direction... Kazan?!" Without another word, Sara stripped off her ornate clothes and ran toward the Ryumyaku's center to seal it.

Terrifying energy gathered here, surging into Uchiha Hikari's body and becoming her Dōjutsu Power.

At last, she set that power in motion. A humanoid skeleton
