Background and History

Kazan enters Konoha’s Ninja Academy without clan backing and with mediocre ninjutsu talent. He barely passes a Clone Technique test, but trains his body relentlessly. As a transmigrator with a Monkey D. Garp template, he expects his fists to matter more than his Academy grades. His immediate goal is enough strength to survive the approaching Third Shinobi World War 1.

He tests himself against Kakashi Hatake, then defeats Jing Uchiha and Asuka Hyuga. The fights overturn his reputation as an Academy underachiever and draw Hiruzen Sarutobi’s attention. Hiruzen teaches him chakra control and Monster Strength Fist, graduates him early as a genin, and gives him his own old forehead protector 6 12 16 22 23 24.

Kazan’s performance against Yugito Nii at the Chunin Exams spreads his name beyond Konoha. During the war, he fights Sunagakure’s forces, repeatedly clashes with Fourth Kazekage Rasa, and develops Conqueror’s Haki in battle. He later kills the Third Raikage and Hanzō, commands Konoha troops, and becomes a figure rival villages treat as a major strategic threat 43 54 77 114 126 132.

After the war, Kazan lives and trains in the Forest of Death. Hiruzen wants him to become Hokage, but Kazan refuses for the time being, placing his freedom above the office. His forcefulness does not preclude restraint. He pulls his punches when Asuka can no longer defend himself, treats wounded Konoha shinobi after battle, frees Anrokuzan’s captives, and forgives Yakumo’s attack before offering to teach her.
