Hearing this, the other three nodded.
They did not know why Akatsuki was collecting so many Tailed Beasts. But even if it only kept them locked up, the destruction those Nine Tailed Beasts could cause if released would far exceed anything they faced now.
They had to stop Akatsuki.
After a brief rest, the four Kage quickly made their move.

Madara Uchiha turned over Aogetsu Hyuga's words.
His blood-red Sharingan spun, but he could make nothing out inside the black sphere.
Before he could see anything, Hashirama Senju spoke up. "Is that... a storm cloud?"
"A storm cloud?!" Madara looked closer and realized, to his shock, that the enormous black sphere really was made of storm clouds!
Its surface was smooth, but he could still make out cloudlike patterns. Deep inside, he even caught faint flashes of blue lightning.
Madara was genuinely stunned.
He looked at Aogetsu. "H-how did you do that?!"
The meteors he had summoned looked rather pathetic beside that sphere of black thunderclouds.
Aogetsu smiled faintly. "You're asking me? Even if I told a loser like you, you wouldn't understand."
Madara flew into a rage.
Whoosh!
Brilliant blue Chakra surged around him, and layer upon layer of enormous bones appeared.
Just then, Hashirama stepped up to Madara. "Madara! Let's fight together this time!!"
Madara froze for a moment, then caught on. The Susanoo gathering around him soon dispersed.
A barely perceptible smile touched his lips.
"Let's get one thing straight. When the time comes, I'm in control!"
Hashirama smiled. "Yes, yes~" He sounded as though he were humoring a child.
Then his expression turned solemn.
Black markings appeared on his face. He pressed his palms together, and an overwhelming force rose from the ground.
His armor, hair, and clothes whipped upward in the surge.
