In the Hokage Building, Hiruzen Sarutobi gave an Anbu operative his orders.

At Hiruzen's instructions, a flicker of unease crossed Danzo's eyes.

Utatane Koharu, standing beside him, noticed it immediately!

Once the Anbu operative left, Koharu began questioning him sternly.

"Danzo! Have you done something else behind Hiruzen's back? Something involving Uchiha Liuyun?"

Koharu's words immediately caught the other two men's attention.

Hiruzen's heart lurched, and an ominous premonition crept into his mind.

"Danzo! What have you done behind my back this time? Tell me now! This is no time for you to do as you please!"

"I already secretly ordered Root to take action against Senju Nawaki!"

Danzo knew this was no time to hide it. He couldn't conceal it anyway; once the battle reports arrived from the border, Hiruzen would find out!

"It's too late!" Danzo shook his head. "The order went out half a month ago. Even if we send new instructions now, they'll take at least two days to arrive!"
