The two of them lay on the Cloud Dock, bickering.
Little White picked at his ear, sniffed, then followed Lin Mo's nearly faded scent through the air.
Conis's home was fairly close to the Cloud Dock.
After following her for only a few minutes, Lin Mo arrived in front of a simply furnished, two-story house.
"Oh, Conis, you're back." A middle-aged man waved to her from the railing on the second floor. He wore an ocher tank top and had narrow eyes, a dark brown beard on his chin, and two dark brown braids with round tips, just like Conis's.
This was Conis's father, Pagaya.
"Hm? Is that Lin Mo?" Pagaya recognized the person his daughter had brought home at a glance.
Although Lin Mo wasn't particularly close to anyone on Angel Island, he had spent several years on Sky Island and visited Angel Island a few times. Even if they weren't acquainted, they had seen him around. Since Lin Mo wasn't a Skypiean, his appearances on Lovely Street had always drawn plenty of attention from the locals.
That was how Pagaya knew him.
"Yes, Father," Conis said happily. "Lin Mo and his friends probably just arrived from the Blue Sea today. I'd like to have them stay with us for a few days.
