The sunflower suddenly split open into a huge mouth and lunged to bite him.

Once the plants stopped attacking, enormous animals such as giant earthworms, ants, and beetles took their place. After watching Lin Mo chop many of their kind into pieces, the other giant creatures lost their nerve, just like the plants.
This was a place where the strong devoured the weak. Either you were powerful enough to stand above those dangerous plants and animals and keep them in line, or you became their next meal.
Just like Lin Mo, Kaku and his two companions were surrounded by over a dozen giant man-eating plants as soon as they entered the forest within the Boin Archipelago.
Kaku and Enel, who had already seen plenty of bizarre creatures, found nothing particularly strange about it.
