Rayleigh, realizing what was about to happen, shook off the Marines blocking him the instant Ace left the pirate ship. He raced toward Ace, scooping up Sabo and Lin MuMu, who were still arguing, and dragging them both away from the battlefield.
When he was less than ten meters from Ace, Rayleigh called out, "Do what you need to do now. Don't bring shame on Newgate."
The flames around Ace slowly died down a little.
As Ace froze, Jozu lunged over, immediately transforming to shield him.
Then the explosion erupted with a deafening roar.
Nearly all of Marineford was blown apart in an instant.
The force hurled Jozu and Ace straight into the sea.
Aboard the pirate ship, Luffy was frantic. Forgetting entirely that he had a Devil Fruit power, he leaped onto the railing, ready to dive in.

A few minutes later, Jinbe kept his word and brought Ace back.
Rayleigh carried Sabo onto the pirate ship where Luffy was waiting.
