This time, he made off with another huge sack of food.

As before, he delivered it to Tama's treehouse in the middle of the night.

He had just set the food down and was about to leave.

Then Tama's voice rang out. "I knew you'd come!"

She immediately threw herself at Lin Mo.

Just as before, Lin Mo raised a hand and pressed it against her head, stopping her before she could reach him.

"Why do you always do that?" Tama huffed. "Hmph!"

"I don't like people touching me," Lin Mo said, unconcerned.

"I'm not just anyone," Tama protested.

No sooner had she spoken than a faint rustling came from outside the treehouse.

Thinking he had changed his mind, Tama lunged at him again, only to miss.

"Kojiro!" Tama chased him to the doorway, but before she could say more,

Lin Mo said, "Go inside."

"Huh?" Tama stared at him. "What's wrong?"

Lin Mo frowned slightly. "Go to your master."

Only then did Tama notice something approaching in the night sky.

"Wh-what is that?" she asked, covering her mouth in fear.

When the shadow came within ten meters of the ground, Lin Mo slashed at it.

A surge of Sword Aura shot out. The figure hurriedly veered aside. Though it escaped injury, several feathers fell from its body.
