With that, Kaku used Geppo and ran off.
Lin Mo shouted in frustration, "Kaku, come back!"
But Kaku kept going without looking back.
Lin Mo tried to chase him, but lost sight of him after only a few steps.
Staring in the direction where Kaku had disappeared, Lin Mo felt a painful tangle of emotions.
"I've never seen you this upset before," Lin Feng said half-jokingly. "After your friend treated you like that, can you still forgive him?"
Lin Mo shot him an unhappy look. "Shut up."
Lin Feng chuckled. "So, will that elusive friend of yours still try to kill me?"
Lin Mo started walking, his face expressionless. "No."
"You're that sure?" Lin Feng asked. "What makes you say that?"
"Nothing," Lin Mo said. "I said he won't, so he won't."
Seeing both of them leave, Cui Cheng hurried after them. "Lin Mo, your friend called you captain. Did you used to sail the Spirit Sea?"
"No," Lin Mo said flatly.
Cui Cheng didn't believe him. "Then why did he call you captain?"
"That's none of your business," Lin Mo said, irritation in his voice.
Cui Cheng was about to ask more, but Lin Feng cut him off.
"Give it up. Asking won't help," Lin Feng said with a smile. "Lin Mo keeps things close to his chest. Unless he's in the mood to tell you himself, you won't get anything out of him. Keep asking, and he'll just ignore you."
"If you say so, Lin Feng, I'll leave it alone." Cui Cheng took the hint. After a while, he spoke again. "Since we're already out, why don't we spend a couple of days exploring Beishang City before the Academy Tournament?"
Lin Feng looked at Lin Mo. "What do you think?"
"Whatever," Lin Mo said.
