A Ki Blast gathered visibly, making Son Goku's pupils contract. He hurriedly ducked.
Whoosh!
The Ki Blast skimmed over his scalp and slammed into the starry sky above with a boom, sending ripples spreading across it.
Crack!
The Barrier high above the Dueling Space seemed on the verge of breaking.
Grand Kai looked up at the cracks, his pupils contracting slightly.
Then he lowered his gaze to the two fighters below. They had become streaks of light colliding at high speed, and his expression grew grave.
"Grand Kai, can you follow their fight?"
King Kai stared wide-eyed at the arena.
Even with his eyesight, he could no longer make out their movements. All he could see were shadows flickering past.
"I'll admit these two have some skill."
Grand Kai snorted.
Then he abruptly turned his head away.
The fight continued. The two figures in the arena were locked in a struggle so fast they were almost impossible to see.
Bang!
Suddenly, a corner of the arena shattered.
Whoosh!
In another flash, a dazzling Ki Blast tore through the air, nearly grazing Grand Kai's head before crashing into the spectator stands behind him and exploding.
"Hey, hey, hey! Watch where you're aiming, you two!"
King Kai roared.
But Xia Le and Son Goku were utterly absorbed in the fight, their blood racing with excitement.
"It's been ages since I faced someone as strong as you!"
Son Goku shouted.
He threw a punch that struck Xia Le's right cheek.
But the next instant, Xia Le's fist hit him square in the nose, knocking his head back.
"Same here!"
"Now this is a fight!"
Xia Le laughed in delight.
It even reminded him of his days in the pirate world, back when he had been weak.
