"And the Abyss of Worlds was specifically used to house those dead worlds."
Dead worlds?
Li Mo's expression turned grave as he stared intently at the enormous rift in the distance, afraid of missing even the slightest detail.
After all, the sight of a world collapsing—or rather, what remained after its collapse—was not something innately frail beings like humans could glimpse. In this Sea of Stars, untouched by humanity for hundreds of millions of years, Li Mo was likely the only one witnessing this scene.
"Is this... a world's final end?" Li Mo muttered. The torn scene in the distance had left him too shocked for words.
As time passed bit by bit, the gaping tear grew ever more grotesque. A raging chaos storm spread continuously from the fissure, like the most vicious beast in existence, baring a slime-covered maw and clawing wildly at everything around it.
Gradually, in the brief instant Li Mo blinked, a ruined continent suddenly appeared in the middle of the opening. Endless storms and lightning, as though spewed forth by a world-destroying giant, battered it without cease. The continent became ever more broken and began to tremble precariously, as if it were about to fall apart.
This world had reached the end of the road!
At that moment, even Li Mo knew what the continent's final fate would be!
What he did not know was whether this world had originally taken the form of a continent, or whether it had only become like this after endlessly collapsing.
But none of that mattered anymore. No matter how glorious this world had once been, no matter how many outstanding figures it had produced, in the end, Li Mo was its only living witness.
"I refuse to accept this..."
Just as an inexplicable sorrow filled Li Mo's heart
