As though something had occurred to him, Shanks's eyes suddenly lit up despite his headache. He looked up at Kuta and asked hopefully, "If you're saying that, you must have a solution, right?"
At Shanks's words, everyone in the Red Hair Pirates turned their eyes toward Kuta.
"I do."
Kuta did not keep them guessing. He simply explained his plan.
"Here's what I'm thinking. We trust Uta, but other people won't. If we want to keep people from bothering her in the future, the best solution would naturally be to remove the Sing-Sing Fruit from her body. But even I can't do that right now."
"Once a human eats a Devil Fruit, the power within it becomes completely fused with their soul. Only when that person truly dies can that power, which can be traced back to desire, reappear in reality."
"Then what's your solution?"
Shanks glanced at Uta before asking.
"My solution is to cut open a passage connecting reality to Uta World. That would let anyone who hears Uta's singing choose whether to enter or leave. It might affect Uta to some degree, but it would put everyone in this world at ease."
"Can you do that?"
Shanks did not ask that question. Beckman did.
Of course he knew about Uta World. It was an imaginary dream world created by the power of the Sing-Sing Fruit. Anyone who heard Uta's singing would be involuntarily pulled into it.
That was also the source of the Sing-Sing Fruit's danger.
If people could choose whether to enter or leave, then this Devil Fruit would no longer pose much danger. At least, that was how outsiders would see it.
It was not that he doubted Kuta's strength.
It was just that something so utterly inconceivable sounded like it belonged only in myths.
