"Zoro! Are you a Swordmaster?"
"Of course, Captain. I'm pretty strong! You might not even be a match for me!"
"I see! I'm really strong too. Two years ago, Grandpa went crazy for some reason and nearly beat me to death! He said it was so I could live up to this little sword!"
At Luffy's words, the corner of Zoro's mouth twitched, and he couldn't stop grumbling inwardly. What kind of monster was Luffy's grandfather? Judging by Luffy's earlier performance, his physique was impressive, no worse than Zoro's own. Yet even with a body like that, he said his grandfather had nearly beaten him to death. Zoro couldn't imagine how brutal the old man must have been. Was Luffy really his grandson? Had he been trying to remake the boy from scratch?
Still, it was a family matter, so Zoro couldn't exactly ask him outright.
At the mention of the Little Wooden Sword, he glanced again at the object hanging from Luffy's waist, then took a Little Wooden Sword out of his own clothes. A green ribbon was tied around it. He had always been particularly fond of green.
"Hey! Let me show you something good! This one's the real deal. Take a good look!"
Luffy glanced twice at the object in Zoro's hand, then said dismissively, "How's it different from mine? I say mine's the real one!"
That left Zoro a little embarrassed and at a loss for words. Was he supposed to say that Sword Emperor Dongze had personally given it to him?
Luffy probably wouldn't believe him anyway. With a smile, he tucked the Little Wooden Sword back into his clothes and said nothing more.
"Whoa! Zoro, look! There's actually someone in that barrel!"
Luffy felt quite an affinity for barrels. He had popped out of
