There were no weaklings among them. Those attacks packed a punch.

If that barrage had struck Rocks or Garp, even they would probably have been forced to dodge.

Even a master could be beaten by a mob. That was the principle at work.

The attacks hit the ice and erupted with a thunderous roar.

Explosions followed. Glaciers stretching for thousands of meters shattered, and waves hundreds of meters high surged up. Then dust and spray blotted out the sky, obscuring everyone's view.

The deafening blasts sent those overhead into fits of laughter.

"Cough, cough!"

A cough suddenly came from within the haze.

"What is this, New Year's? I thought fireworks were banned."

Rocks and Garp shuddered at the sound of that voice. The same thought struck them both: It's him!

The others in the sky froze as a young man walked out of the haze.

At first, they thought the smoke was why his figure looked blurred. But even after it cleared completely, they still couldn't make him out. They rubbed their eyes and looked again. Nothing changed.

"What's going on?"

Unable to see him clearly, many of them activated their Observation Haki.

Hundreds, then thousands of currents of Observation Haki swept out at once, stirring a gale across the sky.
