He let out a long sigh. "Ah."

Then he activated his Time Sword Intent. In a flash, he returned to the Long River of Time and began moving upstream, following the faint connection he felt in his heart.

After Dongze disappeared, a bloodthirsty fervor gleamed in the pupils of the enormous eyes in the sky. As they watched Garp and Rocks in midair, greed rose within them.

But soon, a hint of struggle appeared in those eyes. One pupil suddenly turned round while the other remained a slit, making the sight deeply unnerving.

After a little while, the other slit pupil turned round as well. The bloodthirsty fervor vanished, leaving only a cold gaze. The eyes surveyed the scene, then beams of light shot from them, and time began to flow backward.

It rewound to the moment the combatants had first clashed. Then the eyes slowly faded, and space returned to normal.

None of those restored to that moment felt anything amiss. They continued the battle that would go down in history.

"Where is this?"

Dongze had barely stepped out of the Long River of Time when the sight before him made every hair on his body stand on end.

He appeared to be underground. Beneath his feet ran a narrow, winding path that looked as though someone had built it deliberately.

It stretched into the distance and disappeared into darkness.

Overhead hung rows of stone spikes that sent a chill down his spine.

Beyond the path lay a bottomless abyss. Even with his Observation Haki, he could not see what was below.

Some force seemed to swirl deep underground, preventing his Observation Haki from reaching farther.
