Adrian raised an eyebrow. He had never expected the Marine Branch Base he had randomly picked near Jaya Island to be commanded by Yamakaji, the Headquarters Vice Admiral he had met several times in the West Blue!

"Long time no see, Major Yamakaji. You've climbed the ranks pretty quickly!"

Adrian sighed in admiration.

In just four short years, Yamakaji had risen from a Marine Branch major to a Marine Headquarters Vice Admiral.

His strength had grown at an astonishing rate, too!

It seemed Admiral Zephyr's Marine Elite Training Camp, which he had mentioned before, really had helped him immensely!

Yamakaji said coldly, "White Ghost, you're now a Great Pirate wanted jointly by Marine Headquarters and the World Government! Showing yourself so openly before the Marines—are you asking to be thrown into Impel Down?"

"Am I?"

Adrian suddenly took a small step forward.

That simple little step, with not the slightest hint of an attack...

Made every Marine soldier in the base's main hall except Yamakaji, officers included, instinctively take a small step back, as though they had seen some terrifying beast.

"Looks like you Marines aren't all that eager to arrest me."

Adrian shrugged, his tone casual.

Yamakaji's expression turned utterly grim, but he could hardly reprimand his subordinates in front of White Ghost. All he could do was maintain a tough stance. "White Ghost, what exactly do you want here at the G-13 Branch?"

"I just caught a few pirates on Jaya Island and thought I'd come to this base to cash in their bounties."

Adrian pointed at the tall stack of wooden boxes beside him, his tone flippant.

"That's a perfectly reasonable request, isn't it?"

Reasonable, my ass!

Looking at the neatly arranged wooden boxes, Yamakaji's expression froze. He nearly drew his sword and started slashing.
