Outside Obito's room.
A heavy pounding sounded at the door.
"Obito, open up!"
Obito dragged himself out of bed, bleary-eyed and utterly dazed.
He had wandered around until late last night, only to be woken up just after falling asleep.
After taking a moment to collect himself.
He hopped off the bed and headed for the door.
"Coming, coming."
Once the door opened.
"Hmph!"
Kakashi snorted and walked in, his eyes dull and half-lidded.
Obito scratched his head in confusion.
"What's wrong? What brings you here so early?"
Kakashi sounded rather displeased.
"Were you the one who suggested to Minato-sensei that I leave the Anbu and become a Jonin instructor?"
Obito nodded.
"Yep, that was me."
Kakashi leaned in until his face was right in front of Obito's.
"Why?"
Obito spread his hands.
"Because I think you'd make a good teacher."
Kakashi paused, and his expression softened considerably.
Still, he gave another dismissive snort.
"Hmph. That's just your excuse."
Obito yawned and slung an arm around Kakashi.
"It's true! When have I ever lied to you?"
"Besides, we've watched Naruto grow up since he was little. Don't you want to teach him?"
Kakashi turned his head away and gave a noncommittal answer.
"I... I'll think about it!"
Obito looked at Kakashi, a little puzzled.
"At this hour... shouldn't you be on duty? Did you skip work to come find me?"
Kakashi's face darkened.
"Thanks to you, I'm no longer a member of the Anbu."
Obito couldn't hold it in and burst out laughing.
"Pfft, hahahaha! Minato-sensei sure works fast! Uh..."
