Background and History

Obito awakens in Konoha’s Year 39 with memories of a previous life and recognizes that he has transmigrated into the young Obito Uchiha. He accepts Obito’s identity and feelings, particularly his love for Rin Nohara. His parents died in war, and he lives with his grandmother. Knowledge of possible tragedies—including Rin’s death and the Uchiha clan’s downfall—drives his wish to change the future 1 2 16 29.

Initially known as the Academy’s “Dead Last,” Obito begins improving through system rewards, practice, and instruction from his uncle Uchiha Chuan and Hatake Sakumo. After he publicly defends Sakumo’s decision to save a comrade, Sakumo gives him a sword, teaches him Iaijutsu, and asks him to look after Kakashi.
