In the intelligence Black Zetsu had provided,
he had mentioned that Obito once trained under Jiraiya and could be considered something of his student.
She hadn't expected that connection to link him to Nagato and the others.
Setsuna's delicate brows furrowed slightly.
"More importantly, that clan cousin of mine actually..."
He had actually awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, along with a time-space dōjutsu.
That dōjutsu called "Kamui" could only be described as ridiculously overpowered.
A flicker of relief crossed Setsuna's eyes.
"Thank goodness I didn't act rashly back then..."
Without knowing about that terrifying dōjutsu of his,
if she had really attacked Obito back then,
she would probably have been a corpse by now.
Setsuna rested her chin on her hand and sank into thought.
"That clan cousin of mine really is clever. He figured out someone was pulling all the strings behind the scenes from just a few scattered clues."
"But why don't I remember any records of the Rinnegan in the Uchiha clan's history..."
Setsuna couldn't make sense of it.
As her thoughts churned,
a bold idea suddenly occurred to her.
Since this clan cousin of hers
was on the same side as Nagato and the others, and harbored hostility toward the person behind the scenes,
perhaps she didn't necessarily have to assimilate him.
"Could I find a way to win him over...?" Setsuna murmured to herself.
After all, when she traveled the shinobi world,
she used Madara Uchiha's name and even spoke in his voice.
At a critical moment, she could simply pin all the blame on Madara Uchiha.
Then she could find a way to extricate herself and join forces with her clan cousin to deal with the contingencies Madara had left behind.
Setsuna played with her dark hair as she considered the feasibility of the idea.
