Obito let out a long breath.
"Whew... thank you, Lin-chan."
Rin waved a little hand.
She pointed at her mouth, then headed into the bathroom.

Rubbing her cheeks, Rin returned to the room and said,
"Obito-kun, we're having dinner at Kakashi's tonight. Have you prepared a gift?"
Obito grinned.
"Of course I have."
The three of them were getting busier and busier, with little time to get together.

Rin nodded her little head.

Obito laughed.
"Haha, why stand on ceremony with that guy? He's dying for us to come hang out with him."
Rin sat in Obito's lap.
Suddenly remembering something, she giggled.
"Oh, Obito-kun, let me tell you some gossip about Kakashi!"
Naturally, Obito nodded eagerly.
"Yes, please! I love that guy's... gossip!"
Rin leaned close to Obito's ear and began whispering.
"Apparently... (200 words) that's pretty much what happened."
"...No way!"
Obito's mouth opened wider and wider until it formed an O.
"I vaguely remember that girl. Isn't she still not... How could Kakashi go after her?"
"He's never mentioned any of this to me! ...What an animal!"
Rin covered Obito's mouth with her little hand.
"Hey, keep your voice down! Don't get so worked up. I told you, it's just gossip!"
Obito made sure to commit this to memory.
"No, I'm definitely asking him about it myself tonight!"
The moon's pale light flowed into the room like water.
