A special thank-you note (group number included)

Happy Lantern Festival, everyone!!

When the book went premium on the first, I posted eight chapters instead of the full ten. ~~The reason was that I suddenly wanted to write this thank-you note.

First, let's talk about the chapters I owe.

I've now made up the six chapters owed from before the premium launch, along with the guaranteed two daily updates.

Starting in March, I'll work on the promised bonus chapters owed since the premium launch.

There were 1,100 first-chapter subscriptions, so that's eleven bonus chapters owed,

plus one chapter for passing 3,000 recommendation votes this week,

and a total of four chapters owed for everyone's tips.

That makes fifteen chapters in all. I'll try to finish them in March.

Let me offer my heartfelt thanks here for your tips and subscriptions.

Leaving the first-chapter subscriptions aside, subscriptions to new chapters have been very steady, almost matching that initial number. That means my writing has been pretty consistent (a little self-praise, haha), but it's definitely even more thanks to everyone's support. Thank you all!!

Because honestly, your tips really are a gesture of kindness! That's not an exaggeration at all. Even one yuan is a token of goodwill, and I'm truly, deeply grateful!!!!

Honestly, I set the rule of a bonus chapter for every 10,000 in tips partly because an author needs to make a living too—I need a little money—and partly because I hoped it would push me to update more.

But it's the thought that counts. It's like how a little gambling is fun, while too much does harm (maybe that's not the best comparison; I just feel a little guilty for some reason, haha).
