Bubble, bubble, bubble...
Bubbles rose in clusters across the broad surface of the lake from time to time.
A faint, hazy mist hung over the water, formed where the cold air met the warm lake.
That was right—this was a very unusual warmwater lake.
Dian put his hand in the water to test it, and a pleased smile crossed his face.
There had to be a geothermal source beneath the lake to keep the water this warm.
Even better, the temperature was quite comfortable, and some unidentified fish lived in it, suggesting that the water was harmless and even safe to drink.
That was his Beedrill for him. What a great spot to find.
He could camp here and wash up, too. It was perfect.
"Hopp, hopp!"
Hoppip circled along the shore, seemingly curious about the warm water.
Miss Misdreavus, meanwhile, was more practical. She had already gone to a nearby tree to pick Berries.
Beedrill continued keeping watch nearby.
Strangely, there were no Pokémon around, which made Dian take a closer look.
He figured there had to be something living in the lake, or perhaps this area belonged to a powerful Pokémon.
Dian went over to a sunlit rock and searched around. Sure enough, he found several long brown hairs. He was certain they belonged to a Sentret, and they were still very soft, so they must have fallen out recently.
There were also a few discarded fruit cores beneath the shade of a nearby tree. Clearly, he was not this lake's only visitor; he was simply the only one here right now.
Dian had wanted to take a swim, but he shelved that idea for the moment. If his guess was right, some rather unusual Pokémon lived in this lake.
"Could it be another school of Remoraid?"
