"The turtle talked?" Everyone except Roland stared in surprise.

"Could you answer my question first?" Miriel asked slowly.

"This isn't the Lands Between. It's another world." Roland began explaining the situation to Miriel.

"I see." Miriel had mixed feelings and fell into thought.

"Let's get going." Roland called to Superman and Batman. "Jeanne d'Arc is coming with me too. It's time to give Lex Luthor a little taste of France."

"Yes, Master." Jeanne d'Arc nodded. "Are we going to take part in a Holy Grail War?"

"The Holy Grail War hasn't started. If you want to see the Holy Grail, though, I can arrange that. Not the Lesser Grail, either—the cup that held Jesus's blood."

"What?" Jeanne d'Arc froze. It took her a long moment to recover. "Master, please don't joke about that."

"Who's joking?" Roland spread his hands. "I may not have much else, but I've got plenty of Holy Relics."

"Oh." Jeanne d'Arc glanced at the stake. Had that been the Holy Relic used to summon her?
