"Don't flatter me out in public. It's embarrassing," Roland said, but the look on his face said: Don't stop. Keep praising me.
"Oh." Raynaud nodded and shut his mouth.
Who did this kid inherit his emotional intelligence from? Roland's face darkened.
"Good luck." Cassandra had ordered two milk teas to go and was about to leave. As she went, she gave Roland an encouraging gesture.
"We're looking forward to having a new classmate, too," Raynaud said with a smile as he followed Cassandra out.
"Careful her parent doesn't come knocking."
"If she refuses, just use Boss Jason's Artemis."
"These little brats..." Roland's mouth twitched.
"What's Artemis?" Raven asked curiously.
"Well..." Roland's expression stiffened. "Nothing. Let's go get something else to eat."
"Sure." Raven nodded. She was in a very good mood. Ever since her fight with Deadpool, Demon Trigon's voice hadn't sounded in her head once, which had left her feeling much more relaxed.
The three of them ate and drank their way along the street. Roland even bought Raven a pair of sports earbuds and an MP3 player. "Listen to more music and eat some sweets. It'll help."

Back in her hotel room, Raven turned on the MP3 player. It contained songs Roland had downloaded.
"This isn't going to be religious music, is it?" Raven put on the earbuds, and a Cantonese song began playing.

Although she couldn't understand the lyrics, Raven listened with relish.
"Music is
