"You talk tough. I don't believe you don't know what kind of people we are." Jason smiled, then his expression suddenly changed. "Oh no!"

"What's wrong?" Red Hood froze, then watched Batman fall backward onto the floor.

"His soul is leaving his body." Jason ran to Batman's side and grabbed a white shadow.

"What is that?" Red Robin drew a Batarang from his waist. "Who are you?"

"Heaven gave us a chance to see each other again. That's enough—promise me you'll stay strong." The white shadow slowly floated upward, and Batman's voice rang out in Red Robin's mind.

"Do I look like I have time to explain right now?" Jason threw the white shadow into the clay he carried with him.

"This is..."

"The cream that mutated Clayface all those years ago." Jason looked at the clay, which quickly took the shape of a miniature Batman.

"Jason, was this really necessary?" Clay Batman stood up.

"Can someone tell me what happened?" The Batman on the floor regained consciousness. "Where am I? Gotham?"

Red Robin looked at the two Batmen and felt his brain crash.

"Don't worry about it. This is our universe's Batman." Roland pulled Batman aside. "What's going on with you? Where was your consciousness before this?"

"Me?" Batman thought for a moment. "I think I fell asleep while driving. Then I woke up here."

"Oh, looks like you have no idea what you missed. No big deal, though. I recorded it." Roland shrugged.

"The way you put it, I doubt it was anything good," Batman said.

"Thank you for lending me your body, Bruce," Clay Batman said. "It let me see that Jason has grown into a worthy successor."

"Uh..." Batman didn't know what to say. *Why would his successor be Jason? Shouldn't it be Dick or Tim?
