"Really?" Kara's eyes lit up. "I want to buy a camera!"
"Do I look like a camera to you?" Roland rolled his eyes. "We'd be better off buying a decent set of fishing gear."
"—Didn't you say you were going to spend it on the kids?"
"Don't you get to eat the fish I catch?"
"But you never catch any."
"How can you slander an innocent man like that?"
"What innocent man? Last time I saw you fishing by the sea, you didn't catch a single fish, so you used magic to drain the water—mmph, mmph—"

"Earth's culture is vast and profound. You wouldn't understand."
"Huh?"
"Come on, let's go—" Roland opened a portal. "Get yourself mentally prepared when we get back. We'll start going over the test papers tomorrow."
"Oh, you've finished grading them?" Kara's eyes lit up. "So who came first? Me or Cassie?"
"Neither of you."
"Aha! Did Jason bribe you? Come on, what did he give you? Did you make some evil deal with him?"
"What nonsense are you talking about? It wasn't Jason either." Roland tapped Kara
