"But you can't put all the blame on me. The Flash himself didn't even care about it. What was I supposed to do?" Roland spread his hands.
"...Is there not a single reliable person among you lot?" Jeanne d'Arc strongly suspected Roland had a mental contamination ability like Gilles de Rais's. The longer people spent around him, the weirder they became.
"No," Raven said. "Honestly, the fact that he remembered to bring us back was already pretty reliable by his standards."
"Hmm...well, we didn't accomplish what we went there for, but things still turned out pretty well. We saved a world, at least," Roland said proudly.
"Huh?" Jeanne d'Arc froze. Was saving the world an easy job these days? How could even Roland manage it?
"That's right." Roland nodded. "But there's nothing strange about it. I am the Messiah, after all."
"Oh, Lord, please open your eyes." Jeanne d'Arc couldn't help sighing.
Roland didn't seem to care. He went back to his room for a bath, then took his game console to the main hall and started playing.
"It feels so good to be back." Jason sat down beside Roland with a copy of The Rise of Civilization.
"Which old fossil wrote that novel?" Roland asked.
"The Rise of Civilization, by Eugenie Hergshton. It's a science fiction novel that came out pretty recently," Jason said.
"Oh." Roland nodded.
"You mean that Eugenie Hergshton?" Kara asked.
"Is there a problem?"
"I saw her on the news," Kara said. "She was hospitalized with heart disease."
"Huh?" Jason felt a pang of regret. "Can they treat it?"
"I don't know. Want me to ask around?" Kara called her sister-in-law and soon got the information she wanted. "They've already found a compatible organ donor? That's pretty lucky...The Flash just went over to deliver her
